Developmental Pathways has a fantastic opportunity for a Bilingual Intake Coordinator with our Early Intervention department. Our Bilingual Intake Coordinator will coordinate intake services for children living in a variety of settings and they will also communicate with a broad team of people which may include professionals, school districts, families, and natural supports chosen by the individual/family being served.

This position will be located at our Inverness office in Englewood, CO. We’re committed to a great work-life balance here, so our offices are open Monday – Thursday and are closed on Fridays. This is a full-time 36-hour/week position working Mondays – Thursdays.
 
What You’ll Get To Do!
* Assist families in the completion of the intake application and process
* During the intake process serve as liaison for client issues between Early Childhood Department and Pathways staff, families and other agencies; negotiate positive outcomes for individuals
* Provide information to families about the Early Intervention program, community resources and services that may be available
* Respond promptly and professionally to individual/family needs and requests
* Initiate contact with families, service coordinators, providers, and school districts as necessary
* Accommodate family’s schedule in planning contacts
* Attend resource fairs, school liaison opportunities, and public awareness events as assigned to communicate information about programs and services
* Connect new referrals to appropriate entity for eligibility determination and provides support throughout that process
* Complete all program related documentation
* Maintain notes and state database data entry in a timely manner, as appropriate
* Actively participate in the State and local early childhood community task forces, work groups, advisory boards, and the Early Childhood Council
* Attend and participate in State and local EI meetings, trainings and CICC meetings
* Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
* Actively develop collaborative relationships with providers and Child Find staff and other community partners

 
Must Have’s To Be Our Bilingual Early Intervention Intake Coordinator!
* Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or combination of education and experience appropriate to the requirements of the position *Must be able to provide transcripts
* Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to effectively read, write and speak Spanish and English
* Experience with Child Find and/or Part C laws and regulations are preferred
* Working knowledge of the developmental disability system, rules and regulations is preferred
* Additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment is preferred
* Two (2) years’ experience in service coordination/case management at Developmental Pathways or similar agency preferred; (Early Childhood Services only- Early Intervention service coordination experience preferred; May substitute MA Degree for 1 year of service coordination experience)
* A high degree of accuracy with time sensitive, detailed information required
* Ability to compose proper business documents and write grants necessary to carry out job assignments
* Ability to exercise judgment regarding documentation compliance with state/federal regulations, and agency policies and procedures

 
The Other Stuff You Need
* Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
* Valid Colorado motor vehicle license
* Proof of motor vehicle insurance
* Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles

 
     What are our agency driving requirements?
* Show three (3) current, consecutive years of driving history
* No suspensions or revocations during that period for any reason
* No serious violations in the past three (3) years
* No more than two moving violations in the past three (3) years

 
*Please note that we’ll pull your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in all states that you have had a driver’s license in during the past 3 years as part of our hiring process. Upon hire, we monitor all employees’ MVRs monthly. You’ll need to have a pretty clean driving record to be employed with us!
